WHO ARE WE ?
Our mission at VforMD is clear: to foster a strong, supportive community where medical professionals and students alike can come together to connect, learn, and grow. We understand the unique challenges and triumphs that accompany a career in medicine. Transitioning from medical school to professional practice can be daunting. We provide comprehensive guidance on navigating residency, fellowship opportunities, job searches, and establishing a fulfilling career path.
We believe that personal experiences are powerful teachers. Our blog features personal stories from medical students, residents, and practicing physicians who have faced various challenges and triumphs. These stories not only inspire, but also offer valuable lessons you can apply to your own journey.
Our team: Dr. Husam K. Maglad, Dr. Redwan Alotmy and Dr. Anas A A Abushawish.

Dr. Redwan Alotmy is a 26-year-old Yemeni doctor whose journey has been nothing short of remarkable. His story began at 18, as a high school student in Yemen. He distinguished himself by achieving one of the country's highest scores in the final exam. Just a year later, he was selected by Türkiye Scholarships to pursue medical studies at Ege University's Faculty of Medicine, from which he graduated in 2022.
Driven by a desire to help those in dire straits, he joined the Sıhhat Project 2. The primary objective of this initiative is to provide much-needed medical assistance to refugees in Turkey.
Today, Dr. Alotmy resides in Artvin, Turkey, and serves as a team doctor at the Turkish Red Crescent Blood Bank. His role not only underscores his leadership skills but also highlights his unwavering commitment to the community he serves.
Beyond his medical pursuits, Dr. Alotmy has a keen interest in bodybuilding sports, video games and reading.
